You don't blow glass. You whisper to it. You have to interact with glass. Simple beauty is difficult to achieve, because there is nowhere to hide, a flaw becomes so clearly evident.
Michael Trimpol was born in Philadelphia, PA, and was first introduced to to glass in a stained glass course in high school. He began his career as a glassblower in 1983 at the Sheridan College School of Craft & Design in Ontario, afteer earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Concordia University in Montreal.
Now a Vermonter, Michael continues to refine his skills by participating in and hosting glass workshops with leading glass artists from around the world, such as Lino Tagliapietra, Sonja Blomdahl, Simon Moore, Bill Gudenrath and Josh Simpson.
