Bruce Baker graduated in 1974 from Bowling Green State University in Ohio where he received a Master of Arts degree in jewelry design and enameling. He owned and operated Middlebury Jewelry and Design for seventeen years, a store in downtown Middlebury. In order to be more creative Bruce sold the store and now works in his studio with his apprentice Andrew Ford. They launched Bruce Baker Studio in 2012 and they currently sell to over 35 shops and galleries as well as the Vermont Life Holiday Catalog. Bruce and his wife Nancie Dunn also own a store called Sweet Cecily which features crafts, lifestyle products, and many Vermont artists. Bruce has been conducting workshops for the past two decades throughout the USA and internationally, on a variety of topics. Currently he is a contributing writer for The Crafts Report,where he writes a bi-monthly column advising readers on the subjects of merchandising and sales.
