Loon + Two
The focus of my photography is creating iconic images of wildlife that stimulate one’s imagination resulting in an increased awareness and a sense of responsibility for our wildlife and their habitat. As a visual artist, photographer, and printmaker I strive to reduce nature to its most basic elements to produce images with a degree of abstract realism.
CJ Hockett travels the world to take breathtaking photographs of animals in their natural habitats. Here, he captured a bird familiar to all Vermonters: the loon. In this picture, the loon shuttles her chicks on her back across the lake.
This photograph is available printed on paper or metal. Those printed on paper have the additional option of being framed. The metal prints are already mounted and ready to be hung.
Some information about metal prints:
Because the image is infused into the surface and not on it, images will take on an almost magical luminescence.
These prints have a brilliant and impressive print color, vibrancy and the luminescence is breathtaking. Detail and resolution are unsurpassed.
Metal prints are complimented by hanging off the wall with metal float mount giving a three dimensional sculptured effect.
While photo papers have fantastic image stability, Xenon Light Stability Testing results show that the image stability of these Metal Prints is 2 to 4 times the image stability of traditional silver based photo papers.
They are moisture proof and scratch resistant.
These prints can be cleaned with a mild cleaner and ca soft cloth.
You can hang them in the bathroom and not worry about water damage.
Frames and matting are not required.
Metal prints should be hung out of direct sun light to avoid ultra violet damage.
