Alex grew up in Burlington and moved back to Vermont after receiving her M.F.A. from the Maryland Institute College of Art. 

Alex was first introduced to knitting at an afterschool program in middle school. After that initial instruction she likes to say that Youtube taught her the rest. Alex loves the process the most in her knitting.  She likes to experiment by always trying new yarns, colors, and patterns. Each project is an individual experience to make and she has yet to knit the same piece twice.
