Vermont native Zoe Bedell crafts functional and decorative pottery at her studio in Stowe. Inspired by the creative freedom inherent in working with clay, her creations are characterized by exuberant experimentation in texture, color, and movement. Each piece is made by hand using either traditional techniques (wheel throwing or hand building) or by crafting custom stamps and texturizing tools, which she bisque fires to use on greenware. This process results in unique and complex creations crafted with care and curiosity.
